This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Develop realistic insurance scenarios that encompass ratemaking, loss reserving, valuation, experience studies, assumption-setting, and profitability analysis.
β’ Construct pricing models, conduct reserve reviews, prepare actuarial memoranda, establish technical assumptions, and summarize results.
β’ Produce high-quality βgoldenβ reference responses equivalent to that of experienced actuarial professionals.
β’ Evaluate AI-generated responses using structured rubrics to ensure methodological soundness, calculation accuracy, assumption justification, and effective communication.
β’ Detect flawed methodologies, calculation mistakes, unsupported assumptions, and deficiencies in documented reasoning.
β’ Offer written feedback to the research team to enhance model performance.
β’ Engage in onboarding office hours and calibration sessions.
β’ Contribute to projects that train and improve frontier AI systems.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of professional actuarial experience in any practice area.
β’ A solid grasp of how methods, assumptions, and data influence pricing, reserves, and valuation.
β’ Capability to select suitable methods, execute analyses, and articulate defensible conclusions supported by documented rationale.
β’ Strong quantitative analysis skills, sound judgment, and a keen attention to detail.
β’ Ability to differentiate between actuarial analysis and underwriting decisions, as well as formal financial or legal advice.
β’ ASA, FSA, ACAS, FCAS, CERA, MAAA, or equivalent credential, or actively pursuing exams (bonus qualification).
β’ Experience across diverse practice areas or specialty lines (bonus qualification).
β’ Background in reinsurance, capital modeling, or enterprise risk (bonus qualification).
β’ Proficiency in R, Python, SAS, SQL, or actuarial software such as Prophet, Emblem, Radar, or ResQ (bonus qualification).
β’ Familiarity with regulatory filings, rate filings, or statements of actuarial opinion (bonus qualification).
β’ Must be capable of functioning as an independent contractor.
β’ H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not eligible.
β’ Fully remote position.

β’ Minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, ideally aiming for 40+ hours.
