This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a portfolio comprising high-volume, high-risk, and escalated accounts.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve intricate discrepancies related to billing, payments, eligibility, and account reconciliation.
• Act as a subject matter expert for members of the Collections team.
• Offer guidance, share best practices, and assist with challenging collection issues.
• Examine delinquency trends and recurring account problems to uncover root causes.
• Collaborate with Billing, Cash Application, Client Services, Account Management, and other internal departments.
• Track collection performance and aging trends.
• Aid in optimizing workflows and enhancing process improvement initiatives.
• Keep comprehensive documentation of collection efforts, dispute investigations, account resolutions, and customer interactions.
• Facilitate dispute resolution and enhance team performance through coaching and workflow direction.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in managing complex accounts.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables), Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with AR systems.
• Capability to learn and navigate various systems and databases.
• Reliable internet connection with a minimum of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload while hardwired and not utilizing a VPN.
• Experience in the vision, dental, healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration sector (preferred).
• Background in premium billing, membership billing, or group insurance billing operations (preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems, billing platforms, CRM systems, or insurance administration systems (preferred).
• Support experience for commercial groups, government accounts, municipalities, schools, or retiree programs (preferred).
• Exposure to process improvement, automation projects, or workflow optimization initiatives (preferred).
• Familiarity with audit support and internal control processes (preferred).
