
Senior Accounts Payable Specialist – Battery Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Handle a significant volume of accounts payable invoices utilizing Stampli across various related legal entities, encompassing entity allocation, approvals, documentation, general ledger coding, data entry, payment processing, and resolution of vendor discrepancies.
• Assess vendor terms against activity to enhance payment methods and timing.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to acquire and validate W-9s and payment instructions, including ACH, wire, and BillPay details, and carry out phone verification of vendor banking information.
• Establish and maintain vendor records in NetSuite and relevant banking platforms.
• Process corporate credit card transactions via Stampli.
• Oversee annual 1099 reporting and filing.
• Assist in resolving accounts payable compliance matters, including W-9 and sales and use tax issues.
• Act as a liaison for over 300 vendors concerning billing, payments, and account inquiries.
• Review project-related expenses and collaborate with project management teams to process invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and financial records in accordance with project contract accounting requirements and internal controls.
• Assist with the preparation of periodic financial reports compliant with U.S. GAAP.
• Support external relationships with accounting firms, banking partners, investors, insurance brokers, and bonding agents.
• Prepare accounts payable journal entries and assist in the monthly close process.
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger.
• Generate reports on accounts payable status.
• Implement efficiencies in accounting processes, enhancements in controls, and process improvements.
• Provide documentation for annual audits and loan draws.
• Support investor reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Develop and enforce internal controls, policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Complete other assigned projects.
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
• Over 4 years of relevant experience in an accounting department.
• Preference for current experience in renewable energy, power and utilities, or construction sectors.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, including skills in macro writing, pivot tables, and data queries.
• Familiarity and experience with Stampli, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• High level of business acumen, discretion, and professionalism.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, colleagues, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment with team members across various locations.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while staying aligned with company and departmental goals.
• Proven capability to maintain communication and stay connected across distributed teams in hybrid or remote environments.
