This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Process vendor invoices and payment disbursements, ensuring verification of purchase orders, vendor details, taxes, discounts, and coding.
• Review subcontractor invoices in relation to purchase orders and contracts, confirming costs, retainage, and payment conditions.
• Oversee the entire lien waiver and lien release procedure, encompassing requests, tracking, reviews, and collection of necessary documentation.
• Act as the main point of contact for lien waiver management.
• Follow up with vendors, address documentation issues, and guarantee timely processing of payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances, missing invoices, payment inconsistencies, and account-related issues.
• Research and resolve intricate payment delays by tracing invoices, approvals, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Purchasing, and Accounting teams to rectify discrepancies and uphold accurate financial records.
• Utilize document management and workflow systems to route invoices and accompanying documentation for review and approval.
• Must possess construction and extensive lien waiver experience.
• A minimum of 4 years in senior or lead-level accounts payable roles.
• At least 2 years of experience in a construction-specific accounts payable setting.
• A minimum of 2 years of intermediate-level proficiency in Excel.
• Previous lead-level experience with direct oversight of accounts payable processes and resolution of complex issues.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with project, purchasing, and accounting teams, as well as interaction with vendors and subcontractors.
• A keen interest in supporting and embracing AP automation and process enhancement initiatives.
• Preferred experience with construction-related systems like Vista or Wensoft.
• Capable of working independently while also collaborating within a fast-paced team environment.
• A willingness to learn, grow, and tackle new challenges.
• Ability to work within a standard 40-hour work week and primarily operate on Central Time.
