Senior Accounting Onboarding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead daily client meetings to collect financial information, delineate project scope, and establish trust from the initial conversation.

• Set up and configure Uplinq and QuickBooks Online accounts.

• Address integration and access challenges involving Plaid connections, payroll systems, revenue processors, inventory tools, and related applications.

• Assess signed proposals against actual client requirements and promptly identify any discrepancies in scope or pricing.

• Oversee a substantial number of onboarding timelines and deliverables concurrently.

• Proactively communicate potential delays in workloads or accounts.

• Diagnose setup and data challenges using sound accounting principles.

• Develop solutions to keep stalled onboardings progressing, including manual data entry, alternative document paths, and innovative scheduling.

• Collaborate with Sales, Initialization, Accounting, and Tax teams to address any handoff issues.

• Manage the onboarding process from start to finish and ensure a seamless transition of accounts into ongoing support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in a client-facing accounting or onboarding position, preferably at a public or multi-client accounting firm at the Senior Associate level or above.

• More than 6 years of daily experience with QuickBooks, including Online setup, integrations, and troubleshooting (excluding desktop).

• Strong understanding of both cash- and accrual-based accounting practices.

• Proven ability to manage over 25 active client relationships simultaneously without compromising communication or follow-through.

• Capability to escalate issues early, adapt to changing situations, and take responsibility for results.

• A warm, confident, and memorable presence in client interactions.

• Aptitude for quickly building rapport and helping anxious business owners feel at ease.

• Comfortable having direct discussions with clients regarding scope and pricing when there are discrepancies between what was signed and what is needed.

• Willingness to acknowledge and swiftly rectify any missteps.
