This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Execute and assess lease accounting functions, covering recognition, modifications, terminations, and associated journal entries.
• Ensure lease accounting adheres to US GAAP (ASC 842) and maintains consistency across various brands and entities.
• Analyze lease-related balances to guarantee accurate representation in financial statements and corporate reporting.
• Lead month-end closing procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Guarantee precise and timely reporting of lease-related components in financial statements, aligned with corporate closing timelines.
• Assist in the final review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deliverables before submission.
• Prepare and furnish audit support documentation, including walkthroughs and testing assistance.
• Serve as the primary accounting liaison for internal and external audits, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure comprehensive supporting information.
• Identify control deficiencies or process inefficiencies and spearhead remediation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and process enhancement efforts.
• Support testing initiatives for accounting-related projects (e.g., system modifications and new processes).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Over 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including work in a multi-entity or publicly traded environment.
• Strong proficiency in US GAAP.
• Experience significantly contributing to month-end closings, internal control compliance, and audit support.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and convey complex accounting subjects to stakeholders.
• Experience within consumer, retail, apparel, footwear, or multi-brand settings.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools or emerging technologies.
• Experience with SAP.
• Experience with BPC.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• High attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy.
• Skill in reviewing and challenging financial data.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic, matrixed organization.
