Senior Accountant, Statutory Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Prepare precise and timely statutory financial statements that adhere to relevant accounting standards and regulatory obligations.

• Oversee balance sheets and collaborate with BPOs for the preparation of financial statements.

• Ensure that financial statements align with company policies and procedures.

• Communicate with local country advisors regarding the application of local GAAP.

• Coordinate with the Jazz Corporate Group Accounting team.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams and BPOs to gather necessary financial reporting data.

• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during the statutory financial statement audits.

• Provide auditors with requested information accurately and promptly.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation that supports financial statements and accounting processes.

• Identify and execute process enhancements and best practices.

• Actively engage in accounting projects aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting.

• Strong grasp of accounting principles and standards.

• Previous experience in BPO management.

• Prior experience in audit management.

• Proven track record of continuous process improvement.

• Enthusiastic, positive attitude with integrity and dependability.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

• Ability to analyze information and present it in an easily digestible format for the audience.

• Capability to adapt to shifting priorities and perform well under pressure.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-driven with the ability to work independently.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting, and/or a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) preferred.

• Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience.

• Over 3 years of experience with statutory financial statements.

• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, Blackline, Oracle, or Workiva is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.

• Knowledge of local EU GAAP is a plus.

• Expertise in Data and Reporting is beneficial.

• Previous experience with European Statutory Reporting is advantageous.

• Familiarity with XRBL tagging is a plus.
