Senior Accountant, Revenue

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and facilitate client invoicing, revenue recognition, and revenue forecasting under the CFO's guidance.

• Supervise accounts receivable, including the establishment and upkeep of the vendor portal, along with cash inflow reporting.

• Ensure the maintenance of client records and data integrity, which encompasses contract summaries and database management.

• Handle employee expense reimbursements through payroll processing.

• Evaluate sales and use tax liabilities, ensuring timely invoicing or remittance of taxes.

• Support the month-end closing process, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.

• Assist the CFO in generating GAAP financial reports, monthly financial statements, variance reports comparing forecasts to actuals, and business metric reports.

• Aid in financial statement audits while maintaining audit-ready accounting documentation.

• Document and uphold accounting policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in an accounting position within a small team environment.

• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP standards and regulations, including ASC 606.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• Proven experience in creating financial statements.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks and other accounting software platforms.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, encompassing formulas, functions, and data analysis capabilities.

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Exceptional discipline, personal organization, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, prioritizing, and organizing a varied workload.
