Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Support the overall financial operations and processes, which encompass billing, collections, analysis, and client services.

• Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the accuracy of financial records and procedures.

• Act as the primary or secondary person for cash deposit functions, which include both manual and electronic deposits of cash and checks.

• Uphold internal controls regarding the handling of cash and checks before deposit.

• Execute journal entry uploads, keying, and postings for the general ledger.

• Review and confirm posting reports to ensure accurate general ledger entries.

• Organize and maintain journal entry files.

• Revise claims recovery procedures as necessary.

• Provide assistance with fundamental financial accounting and the processing of check requests.

• Collaborate with external CPAs on annual audits for ACTY clients.

• Prepare and submit quarterly financial reports to the DMHC.

• Reconcile monthly capitation payments received from ACTY clients.

• Coordinate with health plans to guarantee that monthly capitation payments are received for all eligible members.

• Undertake special projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.

• 2-5 years of experience in finance support roles.

• Preferred 1-2 years of experience in healthcare finance.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to function in a highly confidential environment.
