This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage and update all commercial and federal contracts within the Unanet GovCon ERP system.
• Accurately prepare and timely submit monthly project invoices to both commercial and government clients.
• Daily posting of payments received from commercial and government customers.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide support during monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Analyze balances and variances in income and expense accounts, identifying and rectifying discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules for year-end audits and act as a contact point during internal and external audits.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis activities.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company accounting policies.
• Contribute to process enhancements and the automation of manual accounting tasks.
• Support state and local tax filings and ensure compliance with external tax advisors.
• Monitor receivables and follow up on overdue invoices.
• Reconcile billed amounts with contract funding and authorized work.
• Maintain precise records of invoices and payments.
• Review and validate project SubK invoices in accordance with contract terms, purchase orders, and approved funding.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure timely payments to SubK vendors.
• Work in conjunction with the Controller, Staff Accountant, HR, Payroll, and Contracts teams.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience across all aspects of project-based accounting, including Project Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets and Depreciation, Intangible Assets and Amortization, Lease Accounting, Prepaid, Cash, Credit Card, and Expense Reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems such as QBO Online, Deltek Costpoint, or Unanet in a multi-company setting.
• Familiarity with FAR, CAS, and DCAA regulations and compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and critical thinking abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage multiple deadlines.
