Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Accounting Manager.

• Carry out assigned tasks related to the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

• Prepare journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, and analyze activities within the general ledger.

• Compile and assess accounting records, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP.

• Take ownership of or assist with invoicing processes in NetSuite.

• Collaborate with market leaders to prepare, review, and present partner statements.

• Conduct analyses of financial statement and account fluctuations.

• Investigate significant variances and convey key drivers and business implications to management.

• Assist with external audits by preparing documentation, conducting substantive testing, performing controls testing, and addressing follow-up inquiries.

• Identify and implement strategies to streamline, standardize, and automate accounting processes.

• Enhance internal controls.

• Develop and maintain process documentation while cross-training Finance team members.

• Engage in accounting system implementations, configurations, testing, and optimization efforts.

• Respond to requests for ad hoc reporting and analysis.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to support business and strategic decisions.

• Perform additional related duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or finance, including direct involvement with general ledger accounting and the financial closing process.

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP.

• Experience with month-end closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and lookup functions.

• CPA license or active progression towards CPA licensure.

• Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in value-based care.

• Familiarity with NetSuite or a similar enterprise resource planning system.

• Experience with intercompany accounting and allocations.

• Background in supporting process automation or accounting system implementations.

• Experience assisting with external audits and internal control activities.

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, growth-oriented, remote work environment while demonstrating accountability, responsiveness, and sound judgment.
