This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage intricate accrual-based accounting duties for various clients with minimal oversight from Controllers.
• Ensure assigned clients remain within the approved budget and scope on an accrual basis.
• Monitor time on client projects, manage workloads within budgetary limits, and clarify budget discrepancies.
• Facilitate client meetings, delivering exceptional customer service and financial insights.
• Collaborate with external advisors and client stakeholders.
• Draft and revise Client Procedure Manuals.
• Assist clients transitioning from Implementation to stabilization and ongoing service delivery.
• Navigate complex or undefined client scenarios.
• Identify ineffective processes and workflows, suggesting enhancements.
• Take ownership of accurate and timely month-end closures and financial reporting.
• Conduct class reporting, job costing, trend analysis, and variance evaluations.
• Review work for accuracy and completeness, ensuring timely month-end submissions.
• Update KPIs, dashboards, reports, and budgets using Jirav.
• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Oversee unbilled revenue, deferred income, bad debt allowances, and other intricate accounting issues.
• Manage fixed asset and intangible asset accounting, including depreciation and amortization schedules and asset journal entries.
• Process payroll utilizing Intuit or other third-party payroll systems.
• Review quarterly and annual payroll reports, such as W-2, W-3, 941, and state U/E filings.
• Identify and rectify payroll discrepancies.
• Record, analyze, and maintain financing transactions, including loans and investments.
• Evaluate lease agreements and determine appropriate classifications in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare and submit sales and use tax returns, property tax filings, and client-specific business and franchise tax payments.
• Assist with 1099s and year-end payroll reports.
• Investigate and resolve technical accounting challenges.
• Generate cash management flash reports and support audits, budgeting, and forecasting efforts.
• Monitor inventory and identify any unusual or unexpected results.
• Utilize technology to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Seek continuous learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with Accountants and Associates on transactional tasks.
• Provide guidance on assigned tasks and expectations for month-end closures.
• Ensure accountability for final deliverables while mentoring peers.
• Partner with designated Associates during and after client transitions.
• Assist management with documentation for budgets, forecasting, and annual audits.
• Collaborate with client third-party advisors for data and report preparation.
• Support special projects and additional responsibilities.
• Minimum of 5 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience.
• At least 2 years of experience using QuickBooks and/or NetSuite Software.
• Advanced understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, prepaids/accruals, capitalization, financing, job costing, and tax regulations.
• Experience with clients transitioning from Implementation to stabilization and ongoing service delivery.
• Proven experience managing client engagements within set budgets and scope.
• Skilled in monitoring utilization, explaining variances, and proactively addressing potential risks.
• Experience in coordinating and reviewing transactional work performed by Accountants and Associates.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Proficient with accounting software, including QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and Sage Intacct.
• Experience with third-party applications preferred, including Bill.com, Tallie, Jirav, and TeamWork.
• Ongoing eagerness to expand knowledge of new technologies and applications.
• AIPB certification, a 2-year associate's degree in an accounting-related field, or a Minor in Accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
