Senior Accountant – Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Prepare and finalize tax returns and financial statements for individuals, trusts, and corporations in Australia.

• Evaluate accounting and tax work completed by intermediate accountants and bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Oversee a portfolio of small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and individual clients, serving as their primary point of contact.

• Engage directly with clients through email, phone, and various communication channels.

• Offer tax planning, compliance, and accounting advice in accordance with current Australian tax regulations.

• Supervise client tasks, workflow, and timelines to fulfill ATO, ASIC, and client responsibilities.

• Guide and support intermediate accountants and bookkeepers through technical mentorship and constructive feedback.

• Assess team productivity and assist in identifying and addressing workflow obstacles.

• Uphold exceptional standards of accuracy, quality, and client service.

• Keep informed about Australian tax and compliance requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of Australian tax legislation and its practical implementation.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with the confidence to interact directly with clients.

• Proven track record in a public practice setting.

• Proficient in Xero, FYI, Annature, and Microsoft 365, or a readiness to learn swiftly.

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• CA/CPA qualified or an equivalent qualification is preferred.

• Demonstrated strong academic performance in numeracy and literacy.

• Candidates must be based in the Philippines.

• Availability to align with approximately 9 AM–5 PM AU business hours, from Monday to Friday.

• Disclosure of any current ongoing roles or client engagements is required.

• Representation of the engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor.”
