Senior Accountant – Head of Accounting

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for the accounting function across various business entities.

• Maintain precise and current financial records utilizing QuickBooks.

• Supervise general accounting activities, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data across all business entities.

• Recognize and apply enhancements to accounting workflows and processes.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.

• Keep organized records of all incoming and outgoing payments.

• Monitor financial transactions to guarantee accurate and timely recording.

• Detect discrepancies and address accounting issues as they occur.

• Oversee intricate accounting operations for e-commerce businesses across multiple companies.

• Maintain accurate financial records for businesses operating through various sales channels.

• Support financial reporting and reconciliation for Amazon-based businesses and other e-commerce ventures.

• Enhance financial visibility across business entities and revenue channels.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Machine Learning teams to design and refine cash flow forecasting systems.

• Assist in the development and optimization of financial tools, reporting systems, and automation.

• Identify opportunities to enhance forecasting accuracy and financial planning.

• Convert accounting and financial requirements into actionable insights for technical teams.

• Proactively seek opportunities to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.

• Analyze financial data to enhance cash flow management and overall financial visibility.

• Create and implement more effective accounting workflows.

• Take initiative in fortifying financial processes and systems as the business evolves.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Prior experience as a Head of Accounting, Accounting Manager, Lead Accountant, Financial Controller, or sole accountant overseeing a company's accounting functions.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.

• Practical experience managing accounting operations independently.

• Experience in overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Experience in managing financial records across multiple business entities.

• Proficient working knowledge of QuickBooks.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to take full ownership of accounting operations and work autonomously.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Proactive mindset focused on financial accuracy, process improvement, and operational efficiency.

• Extensive background in e-commerce accounting, particularly for businesses with complex financial operations.

• Experience managing accounting for Amazon-based businesses.

• Experience serving as the accounting lead for a private-label brand generating most revenue through Amazon, TikTok Shop, Meta, or similar e-commerce channels.

• Experience collaborating with software engineers or technical teams to develop financial systems.

• Familiar with financial automation and cash flow forecasting tools.

• Experience improving financial reporting processes and accounting workflows.

• Experience supporting businesses operating across multiple e-commerce platforms.

• An experienced accounting leader capable of independently managing the entire accounting function.

• Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a strong emphasis on financial accuracy.

• Comfortable managing complex e-commerce accounting operations across multiple business entities.

• Proactive in identifying opportunities to enhance cash flow management, reporting, and forecasting.

• Technically adept and able to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Machine Learning teams.

• Experienced in leading accounting operations rather than merely processing transactions.

• Organized, accountable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
