This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact and a trusted advisor for small to medium enterprises as well as multinational subsidiaries.

• Manage significant client relationships, supervise service delivery, and offer strategic accounting and financial advice.

• Direct and manage general ledger operations, monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures, financial statement preparation, and support for cross-border consolidation.

• Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of financial reports.

• Supervise and assess corporate tax provisions, estimated tax payments, and federal/state tax submissions.

• Collaborate with both internal and external tax experts to guarantee compliance and offer proactive tax-related counsel.

• Guide, mentor, and cultivate the skills of accounting professionals.

• Manage workload distribution, evaluate deliverables, offer performance feedback, and promote accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.

• Identify and spearhead initiatives to enhance accounting operations, financial reporting processes, internal controls, and operational effectiveness.

• Provide insights and implement scalable solutions that align with clients' business goals.

• Oversee multiple client engagements, resource allocation, timelines, and client satisfaction.

• Contribute to client retention, relationship growth, and business development efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, tax compliance, and related business advisory or administrative services, ideally within a public accounting or professional services environment.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage accounting teams, handle multiple client engagements, oversee deliverables, and maintain robust client relationships while ensuring high-quality service delivery.

• Extensive hands-on experience in providing a wide array of accounting, tax compliance, financial reporting, and daily business support services directly to clients.

• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Japanese.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
