Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements to comply with regulatory reporting obligations.

• Provide guidance to operational segments regarding accounting practices.

• Collaborate with both internal and external auditors to furnish necessary support.

• Present analytical schedules alongside variance analyses.

• Assist with internal requests as needed.

• Identify, lead, manage, and successfully complete process improvement initiatives.

• Support state filing requirements as necessary.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting.

• Over 3 years of experience in financial reporting.

• Knowledge of statutory accounting principles.

• Familiarity with US GAAP and SEC filing requirements is advantageous.

• Experience with Workday Financial Management and Workiva is a plus.

• Proficient in navigating a large ERP environment.

• Competence in MS Office applications.

• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel.

• Demonstrated progressive thinking, a strong work ethic, and a talent for innovative solutions.

• Excellent communication abilities to engage with various levels of management and professional staff.

• Candidates residing out of state must fulfill all position requirements for remote work.
