Senior Accountant, Financial Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development of the accounting function within the Solana Foundation and its fully owned US subsidiary, SF Operations Inc.

• Take ownership of the Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash processes from start to finish, encompassing accounts payable and receivable, cycle times, accuracy, as well as the experience of vendors and customers.

• Spearhead the onboarding of a new platform for expense management and bill payments.

• Integrate an agentic procurement system and automate the accounts receivable process.

• Assess tools, automation options, and manual processes; manage implementations until full adoption.

• Oversee corporate cards and the expense management program, review spending by employees and the company, and enforce spending policies through established processes.

• Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance for both entities in accordance with relevant Swiss and US GAAP standards.

• Prepare and lead balance sheet and asset reconciliations, including bank transactions and on-chain wallet activities.

• Facilitate and support month-end closing, financial reporting, budget versus actual analyses, and ad hoc evaluations.

• Monitor processes, procedures, and controls; identify weaknesses, and establish controls to enhance record-keeping accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A qualified accountant with 3–5 years of experience in both public accounting and industry settings.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

• Background in accounting, financial management, and financial reporting.

• Practical experience with Xero or a similar platform, such as QuickBooks.

• Proficient in using Airtable and other automation-compatible databases.

• Experience in developing tool integrations and leading the implementation of accounting technologies.

• Comfortable working with AI and agentic systems.

• Knowledgeable about blockchain, digital assets, and reconciling wallet activities with bank statements.

• Experience in a fast-paced startup or a company undergoing rapid growth.

• Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
