Senior Accountant – Client Advisory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of Australian small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

• Ensure that BAS and IAS lodgements are accurate and compliant.

• Keep financial records clean and reconciled.

• Generate trustworthy monthly management reports.

• Deliver clear financial insights to aid client decision-making.

• Serve as the primary accounting partner for clients beyond mere compliance tasks.

• Engage directly with Australian clients.

• Take ownership and management of the client portfolio.

• Collaborate with tax professionals in Australia.

• Review work and provide in-depth financial insights as a senior-level candidate.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in an Australian accounting firm.

• Strong background working in an Australian firm.

• Proficient in BAS, GST, and Australian compliance matters.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.

• Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software.

• Experience in managing Australian SMEs from start to finish.

• Senior-level candidates should be adept at reviewing work and offering deeper financial insights.

• Experience in preparing corporate tax returns is highly desirable.

• Agreement to undergo background checks, which may include verification of education, criminal history, political exposure, bankruptcy, and negative credit history.
