Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Examine journal entries and uphold the general ledger, preparing entries as required.

• Analyze quarterly and annual reporting packages along with financial statements prior to management approval.

• Assess capital calls, distributions, team wires, and transfers before securing treasury approval and sign-off.

• Oversee the distribution of capital call and distribution notifications to clients and investors.

• Review communication with client investors and respond to inquiries as necessary.

• Engage with clients to set deadlines for quarterly and annual deliverables in accordance with clients’ LPA stipulations.

• Prepare and evaluate moderate to complex waterfall calculations and management fee computations.

• Support the development and training of new team members.

• Manage and execute special projects as directed by clients or management.

• Aid in the onboarding process for new clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• An advanced degree (MBA or MSA) in Accounting or a related field is strongly preferred.

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is strongly preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Investran or other partnership accounting software is a plus.

• Capable of multitasking, managing time effectively, demonstrating attention to detail, planning, and problem-solving.

• Proficient in professional and effective communication through both written and verbal means with current and prospective clients.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing various team and individual priorities and deadlines.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, methods, procedures, and internal controls.

• Advanced technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite and other financial systems.

• Ability to comprehend and execute moderately complex accounting procedures and analyses.

• General awareness of financial reporting.

• Proven research, interpretive, and problem-solving skills.
