Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze customer contracts to determine performance obligations, transaction pricing, variable considerations, and allocation methodologies in accordance with ASC 606.

• Conduct revenue treatment evaluations for new contracts, renewals, amendments, and intricate multi-element arrangements.

• Draft technical memoranda and documentation for revenue recognition.

• Develop, maintain, and effectively communicate global policies and procedures for revenue recognition.

• Act as a subject matter expert on ASC 606, providing accounting advice on complex revenue transactions.

• Prepare and review journal entries related to revenue and perform account reconciliations.

• Validate the outputs of revenue systems and manage revenue schedules.

• Investigate discrepancies and resolve variances among revenue sub-ledgers, billing, and the general ledger.

• Assist in the internal reporting of revenue results, trends, and fluctuations.

• Identify opportunities to enhance processes, boost automation, and improve operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with teams in Sales, Legal, FP&A, regional accounting, Product, Engineering, and Pricing.

• Perform and document essential SOX controls related to revenue recognition.

• Prepare audit documentation and address inquiries from external auditors.

• Enhance revenue processes, documentation, workflows, and governance practices to ensure compliance and audit readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 3-5+ years of experience in revenue recognition, technical accounting, audit, or corporate accounting.

• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and associated technical accounting standards.

• Experience with complex, global revenue arrangements.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management capabilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Detail-oriented with sound judgment and logical decision-making abilities, adopting a hands-on approach.

• CPA designation preferred.

• Experience in SaaS, technology, or multi-product global companies is preferred.

• Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle, or Cognos is preferred.
