Corporate Accountant – General Ledger

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare journal entries, including weekly payroll transactions, along with the corresponding supporting schedules.

• Create and assess balance sheet account reconciliations while addressing any reconciling items.

• Conduct banking transactions, execute daily cash and bank reconciliations, and generate cash forecasts.

• Assist cash application teams and help with unapplied cash as well as daily cash reconciliations.

• Collaborate with FP&A and internal teams regarding accruals, reclasses, and various accounting entries.

• Analyze financial outcomes, examine fluctuations from one period to another, and prepare variance explanations for management review.

• Support the implementation, optimization, and testing of the ERP system.

• Identify potential enhancements to accounting processes through automation, technology, and data analytics.

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and relevant financial reporting standards.

• Maintain control documentation and execute necessary controls.

• Assist with requests from internal and external audits.

• Engage in special projects and ad hoc financial analyses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

• 3–5 years of pertinent experience in accounting, auditing, general ledger, or corporate accounting.

• Background in public accounting or experience within a large, multi-branch organization involving complex intercompany transactions and banking is advantageous.

• CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA licensure is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

• Keen interest in utilizing technology, automation, and process improvements.

• Analytical mindset capable of investigating financial data and drawing valid conclusions.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Capability to work independently and proactively seek solutions.
