Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Ensure precise financial reporting while adhering to international accounting standards.

• Assist with the month-end closing process.

• Supervise general ledger operations, reconciliations, and journal entries.

• Evaluate financial data and deliver insights to support business decisions.

• Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, and Operations to optimize processes and improve reporting accuracy.

• Execute intercompany invoicing and debt collection as necessary.

• Input data into the group financial system.

• Review and authorize employee expenses.

• Ensure timely payments and monitor cash flow.

• Conduct month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations, and reporting.

• Assist with statutory audits and tax compliance.

• Reconcile local books with the SUN system.

• Verify and ensure the compliance status at the entity level.

• Execute other duties as per group and legislative requirements.

• Examine financial statements for discrepancies and issues that need Finance management attention.

• Uphold Safeguard Global values and ethics in all activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role is preferred.

• Experience in an international organization is advantageous.

• Proficiency in financial accounting and balance sheet management.

• Strong data analysis capabilities.

• Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English.

• Advanced Excel skills.
