Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Respond to requests for ACE numbers and log them accordingly

• Manage the addition, disposal, and transfer of assets within the Oracle Fixed Assets module

• Execute monthly depreciation postings and other month-end tasks related to Fixed Assets

• Generate the monthly ACE Log file

• Oversee the capital lease portfolio using LeaseAccelerator

• Ensure accuracy of LeaseAccelerator entries prior to posting

• Conduct the monthly closing process efficiently and within designated timeframes

• Analyze financial records and processes for compliance with GAAP

• Prepare monthly reconciliations for the balance sheet and document necessary adjustments

• Apply GAAP principles through analytical evaluations and comprehensive reviews of financial records

• Organize and maintain accounting documents and records

• Investigate, monitor, and resolve accounting or documentation issues and discrepancies

• Collaborate with other accountants and FP&A through cross-training

• Prepare documentation for external auditors

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in General Accounting, primarily within a Corporate Accounting setting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Experience with ERP software is necessary, with a preference for Oracle experience

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Capability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

• Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail

• Proficient in working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Ability to perform tasks with minimal direction and supervision

• Capacity to provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior members of the accounting team

• Experience in manufacturing is advantageous

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or move up to 25 pounds if required
