Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of critical areas during the month-end close, which includes reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis, and other intricate accounting activities.

• Provide accounting support in a multi-entity environment, dealing with intercompany transactions, consolidation, foreign currency, payroll and compensation accounting, alongside related reconciliations.

• Examine discrepancies, resolve issues, and maintain precise, well-documented financial records.

• Recognize recurring manual tasks, control deficiencies, and inefficient accounting workflows; assist in implementing practical enhancements.

• Utilize NetSuite/OneWorld, automation, AI, and other tools to optimize accounting processes, enhance data quality, and minimize manual labor.

• Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional partners to comprehend process requirements, suggest improvements, and execute solutions.

• Aid in maintaining audit readiness and documentation while ensuring that accounting processes are scalable, repeatable, and well-managed.

• Engage in interviews with the Talent Team, hiring manager, peers, and Bar Raiser.

• Travel up to 10% for team collaboration, customer interactions, and company events.

• Participate in the annual company offsite, usually held in Mexico.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with the capability to independently manage significant accounting processes and parts of the close.

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience in applying accounting principles to increasingly complex transactions and operational accounting challenges.

• Practical experience with NetSuite/OneWorld in a multi-entity accounting setup.

• Proven track record in identifying and implementing improvements in accounting processes, including automation, redesigning, streamlining, or enhancing recurring workflows.

• Strong skills in reconciliation, analysis, and problem-solving, with the ability to investigate issues and drive them to resolution.

• Experience in collaborating across teams and clearly communicating accounting or process requirements to stakeholders.

• A CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.

• Background in SaaS, software, technology, or another complex and rapidly evolving business environment is a plus.

• Experience in both public accounting and an in-house accounting or finance organization is beneficial.

• Familiarity with FloQast, BlackLine, or similar platforms is advantageous.

• Proficiency in advanced Excel, reporting or data tools, workflow automation, no-code tools, SQL, AI, or similar technologies is a plus.

• Experience in supporting ERP enhancements, implementations, integrations, or other accounting systems initiatives is advantageous.
