Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in accordance with GAAP.

• Assist with the processes for external audits.

• Conduct account reconciliations along with intercompany reconciliations.

• Manage lease accounting as per ASC 842 standards.

• Oversee prepaid expenses.

• Handle fixed assets, including work-in-process and internally developed software.

• Collaborate with the tax team regarding property, sales and use, and other tax issues related to fixed assets.

• Contribute to the design of controls and processes aimed at enhancing the reliability of the financial closing process.

• Assess accounting systems and propose improvements.

• Take ownership of technical accounting details and proactively identify potential issues.

• Work autonomously while juggling multiple priorities and adhering to tight deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a CPA license.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting position.

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP principles.

• Experience with SEC reporting.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of lookups and pivot tables.

• Technical accounting knowledge and a dedication to remaining updated on new standards.

• Strong attention to detail in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

• Experience with multi-entity or consolidated financial reporting.

• Familiarity with NetSuite ERP.

• Background in both public and private company settings.

• Knowledge of DOMO business intelligence and AI tools such as Claude Cowork.
