This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee and manage accounts payable functions, which includes reviewing purchase orders, invoices, and workflow approvals.
• Ensure that payment processing is timely and accurate, while adhering to company policies and vendor agreements.
• Address and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and liaise with internal teams as needed.
• Record and reconcile payroll transactions for both employees and contractors.
• Work in collaboration with HR to ensure accurate maintenance of employee payroll data.
• Handle payroll tax calculations and filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage accruals related to payroll, which includes PTO, bonuses, and contractor expenses.
• Track and monitor expenses across various platforms and reconcile accrual accounts accordingly.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of the general ledger for accounts associated with accounts payable, payroll, and accruals.
• Perform flux analysis and provide explanations for notable variations in financial performance.
• Adhere to month-end closing deadlines and produce accurate financial reports.
• Collaborate with HR, Procurement, and Operations to address financial issues and ensure accurate reporting.
• Deliver timely financial information to internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices and automation in accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, particularly in accounts payable, payroll processing, and month-end closing.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation procedures.
• Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and payroll platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in multi-entity or international payroll processing.
• Knowledge of process automation tools and software.
• Experience in flux analysis and financial forecasting.
• Working hours: 9 am–5 pm PST.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
