Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Prepare monthly journal entries along with reconciliations.

• Implement generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and procedures.

• Generate accurate and timely financial reports and statements.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory organizations.

• Assist in the preparation of annual audit and tax filings.

• Review the work of associate accountants and accountants to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Maintain financial statements in alignment with GAAP standards.

• Post monthly operations performance data.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts effectively.

• Report on fixed assets and monitor capital spending.

• Oversee the annual financial audit process.

• Address external requests for information as needed.

• Maintain reporting structures and systems efficiently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

• 5+ years of experience in Accounting or related Financial roles.

• Experience in auditing.

• Proficient in advanced Excel spreadsheet functions, including pivot tables, dsums, vlookups, and macros.

• Strong understanding of data mining and analysis techniques.

• Capability to create and maintain professional working relationships.

• Ability to educate others and ensure comprehension of processes and/or concepts.

• Self-motivated individual with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screening, and background check.

• Compliance with the U.S. Government Form I-9 for Employment Eligibility Verification.

• Preferred: Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Preferred: Active or inactive CPA License.

• Preferred: Experience in Project Management.
