This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage intricate accrual-based accounting responsibilities for various clients with minimal guidance from Controllers.
• Ensure that assigned clients adhere to approved budgets and scopes on an accrual basis.
• Monitor time spent on client projects and oversee work within set budgets.
• Clarify budget discrepancies and facilitate client meetings.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and financial insights.
• Collaborate with third-party advisors and client stakeholders.
• Draft and revise Client Procedure Manuals.
• Assist clients in transitioning from Implementation to stabilization and ongoing service delivery.
• Navigate through complex or ambiguous client scenarios.
• Identify inefficient processes and workflows, suggesting enhancements.
• Take ownership of accurate and timely month-end closures and financial reporting.
• Conduct class reporting, job costing, trend analysis, and variance reviews.
• Review work for precision and completeness, ensuring timely month-end contributions.
• Update KPIs, dashboards, reports, and budgets in Jirav.
• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable, including unbilled revenue, deferred income, and bad debt allowances.
• Oversee fixed and intangible asset accounting, including depreciation and amortization schedules and asset journal entries.
• Process payroll using Intuit or other third-party payroll platforms.
• Review W-2, W-3, 941, and state U/E reports while resolving payroll discrepancies.
• Record, analyze, and maintain financing transactions, including loans and investments.
• Analyze lease agreements to determine short-term and long-term classifications under relevant accounting standards.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, property tax filings, and client-specific business and franchise tax payments.
• Assist with 1099s and year-end payroll inclusions.
• Investigate and resolve technical accounting challenges.
• Create cash management flash reports and support audits, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Monitor inventory and identify unusual or unexpected outcomes.
• Utilize technology to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with Accountants and Associates on transactional tasks.
• Provide guidance on assigned duties and month-end closure expectations.
• Ensure accountability for final outputs and mentor peers.
• Partner with designated Associates during and post client transitions.
• Assist in gathering documentation for budgets, forecasts, and annual audits.
• Share data and reports with client third-party advisors.
• Support special projects and take on additional responsibilities as required.
• Over 5 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping.
• More than 2 years of experience with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite, covering daily transaction processing, monthly closures, and financial reporting.
• Advanced understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, prepaids/accruals, capitalization, financing, job costing, and tax regulations.
• Experience helping clients transition from Implementation to stabilization and ongoing service delivery.
• High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in managing client engagements within defined budgets and scopes.
• Ability to monitor utilization, clarify variances, and proactively address risks.
• Experience in coordinating and reviewing transactional work conducted by Accountants and Associates.
• Self-motivated, driven, and proactive.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with accounting software, including QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and Sage Intacct.
• Preferred experience with third-party applications such as Bill.com, Tallie, Jirav, and TeamWork.
• Continuous desire to learn about new technologies and applications.
• AIPB certification, a 2-year associate’s degree in an accounting-related field, or a Minor in Accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
