
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +2 more states.
• Facilitate and enhance formulary access, ensure protocol and order set readiness, provide support for discharge pathways, and promote demand generation within targeted hospital accounts.
• Interact with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision makers to drive sales initiatives.
• Create, implement, and execute a comprehensive business plan for the territory.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding the needs and priorities of customers.
• Offer scientific and clinical knowledge within the relevant disease state and approved product area.
• Present sales information to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other appropriate personnel.
• Maximize customer engagement by collaborating with cross-functional GSK stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass sales goals within the designated territory.
• Achieve formulary wins and convert market access success into prescribing and utilization.
• Aid in patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transitions, discharge readiness, and reducing readmissions.
• Work in conjunction with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve barriers affecting product adoption.
• Strategize activities to meet call metrics and enhance access and sales opportunities.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker engagements, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Evaluate utilization trends, customer insights, market dynamics, and territory performance.
• Develop territory strategies in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Oversee the territory budget and complete administrative responsibilities.
• Engage in training and development initiatives while adhering to policy compliance.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• More than 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift and/or carry up to 35 pounds.
• Preferred experience in Anti-Infective products.
• Proficient in account selling and managing intricate sales processes.
• Extensive knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience in engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Proven track record of collaboration across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team setting.
• Proficient in analyzing data and trends to formulate actionable business plans.
• Demonstrated commitment to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
