This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans to meet and surpass individual sales targets.
• Identify, assess, and secure new business opportunities within designated accounts.
• Oversee the full sales process from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
• Establish and nurture enduring customer relationships.
• Comprehend customer requirements and tailor Instructure's educational technology solutions to meet those needs.
• Perform presentations and product demonstrations for potential clients.
• Collaborate with sales engineers, customer success, and product teams.
• Anticipate sales opportunities and keep CRM information current.
• Observe industry trends, the competitive landscape, and Instructure's product development roadmap.
• Negotiate intricate deals and contracts.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and solutions that contribute to their success.
• Over 5 years of successful experience in a sales role with quota responsibilities.
• Experience is preferred in the SaaS or education technology sectors.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related discipline is preferred.
• A proven history of consistently achieving or surpassing sales goals, ideally within the education industry.
• Strong grasp of complex sales processes and strategic account management.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to build rapport and establish trust with executive-level stakeholders.
• Proficient in CRM software, such as Salesforce, and sales productivity tools.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated capacity to quickly learn new technologies and effectively convey their value to clients.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with clients and participate in industry events.
