This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of Commercial & Enterprise clients, focusing on both new prospects and expanding existing accounts.
• Oversee the complete sales cycle, from initial discovery and aligning solutions to negotiation and closing deals.
• Clearly communicate GitLab’s DevSecOps value proposition and connect it to the business outcomes of customers.
• Evaluate successes and setbacks, perform root cause analyses, and disseminate lessons learned.
• Maintain precise documentation of buying criteria, processes, next steps, owners, pipeline data, and account strategies.
• Enhance the sales handbook and processes by recording best practices and identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide leadership in account management throughout pre- and post-sales phases, collaborating with technical teams and customer success.
• Serve as the customer's representative by contributing feedback and suggestions to GitLab’s public issue tracker.
• Report to a Regional Sales Director and work in conjunction with business development, marketing, sales development, and technical teams.
• Demonstrated success in software sales, preferably within an Enterprise environment, handling a diverse range of business accounts.
• Capability to guide clients through the entire purchasing process, which includes establishing buying criteria, outlining buying processes, and ensuring clear next steps.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with business development, marketing, technical teams, and sales management.
• Experience in accurately documenting and managing pipeline data and account plans based on factual evidence rather than assumptions.
• Proficiency in conducting and contributing to win/loss and root cause analyses, sharing insights to enhance team performance and processes.
• Expertise in negotiation, presenting to customer stakeholders, and leading discussions to finalize commercial opportunities.
• Genuine interest in GitLab and open source software.
• Familiarity with Git, software development tools, or application lifecycle management is preferred.
