Senior ABAP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, test, debug, implement, maintain, and document ABAP code for RICEFW objects.

• Offer optimization, enhancement, and operations and maintenance support for ABAP applications on SAP ECC, CRM, and SRM instances.

• Evaluate customer business operations to confirm requirements and scope, propose process improvements, and assist with LOE estimation.

• Create and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents.

• Perform unit, integration, and release testing to ensure functionality is validated.

• Assist with end-user Acceptance Testing activities.

• Engage in production Operations and Release Management support.

• Develop and manage solutions for catalog management, product and service catalogs, and related business processes.

• Design, develop, and enhance SAP Workflow solutions.

• Create and build SAP Fiori applications utilizing SAP Fiori application architecture, templates, Smart Controls, Dynamic UI Content, Smart Templates, Fragments, and Themes.

• Implement transactional, factsheet, and analytical Fiori applications, as well as enhance standard applications using the enhancement framework.

• Design and model OData services using Gateway Service Builder.

• Field applications within existing Launchpad environments.

• Participate in all stages of the ASAP system development life cycle, including operations, maintenance, and enhancement support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in extending SAP standard functionality using ABAP Objects and other contemporary SAP technologies.

• Experience with CRM solutions, encompassing customer engagement and catalog management.

• Proficiency in configuring and enhancing SAP Workflows.

• Background in software development within SAP NetWeaver ABAP Stack environments, including ABAP Objects, ABAP Reports, ABAP online transactions, Webdynpro, interface/dialog programming, BAPI, ALE and IDOCs, User Exits, BADIs, and Batch Programming.

• Familiarity with SAP UI5/Fiori applications.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, such as OData and SAP Gateway.

• Expertise in report development, including ALVs, drill-down, and PDF forms.

• Knowledge of SAP ABAP Data Dictionary and SAP repository objects.

• Experience with the BRF+ framework.

• Skills in code optimization, program performance analysis, and tuning.

• Ability to adhere to stringent development standards and perform code reviews.

• Minimum of 12 years of overall experience.

• At least 8 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

• Strong communication skills with management and diverse customer organizations.

• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform is preferred.

• Desired experience in S/4HANA migration custom-code assessment and remediation.

• Knowledge of S/4HANA extensibility framework and development best practices is advantageous.

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori and embedded analytics enablement is a plus.

• Experience in developing and optimizing CDS Views is desired.

• Knowledge of AMDP and HANA-optimized development techniques is a plus.

• Experience in OData service development and SAP Gateway configuration is preferred.

• Ability to develop custom Java applications using CRM E-Commerce and WCEM is desired.

• Proficiency in UI5 applications on desktop and mobile platforms is advantageous.

• SAP Certification in ABAP Development and Maintenance, UI5, or Fiori Design and Development is desirable.
