Semi Senior Backend Developer, Java, Spring Boot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot

• Design and implement scalable and maintainable microservices

• Create integrations through REST and SOAP APIs

• Work with asynchronous solutions and event-driven architectures using Kafka and/or AWS SQS

• Deploy and manage components in AWS and containerized environments

• Engage with both relational and NoSQL databases

• Develop unit tests and actively participate in code quality assurance

• Apply best practices such as SOLID, Clean Code, and secure development

• Participate in CI/CD processes and agile work teams

• Integrate with one of BABEL Chile's clients

• Understand end-to-end processes and collaborate with various technical teams to build secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in Java and Spring Boot

• Experience working with system integrations

• Knowledge of Cloud and containerized platforms

• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot

• Development experience in microservices architecture

• Integration and consumption of REST and SOAP APIs

• Familiarity with AWS services

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes and/or OpenShift

• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases, ideally MongoDB and Redis

• Messaging and asynchronous programming with Kafka and/or SQS

• Experience with Git and CI/CD processes

• Unit testing experience with JUnit

• Understanding of SOLID principles and Clean Code

• Good security practices and knowledge of OWASP

• Experience working under agile methodologies

• Experience or knowledge in Java 8 and Java 21 is preferred

• Experience or knowledge in Spring Boot 2.7/3 and Spring WebFlux is preferred

• Experience or knowledge in AWS: S3, Lambda, EKS, and CloudWatch is preferred

• Experience or knowledge in Oracle SQL is preferred

• Experience or knowledge in GitLab CI/CD is preferred

• Experience or knowledge in Gradle and/or Maven is preferred

• Experience or knowledge in SonarQube, SAST, and DAST is preferred

• Experience or knowledge in UML and technical diagramming is preferred

• Experience or knowledge in TM Forum standards (TMF) is preferred

• Experience or knowledge in telecommunications or ecosystems with legacy platforms and modern architectures is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and autonomy

• Ability to understand end-to-end processes and collaborate with various technical teams
