This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Assist in the execution of Strategic Energy Management programs aimed at achieving energy savings objectives.
• Organize both virtual and in-person events to assess and prioritize actions for energy reduction.
• Mentor energy champions, executive sponsors, and wider customer energy teams on integrating SEM tools and practices.
• Provide professional cohort training, onsite facilitation, and ensure effective tracking and reporting.
• Analyze energy performance outcomes with clients, including outputs from energy intensity models and AMI interval data.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to commercial and industrial end users, utility clients, and program personnel.
• Advocate for energy efficiency initiatives and methodologies.
• Anticipate and address challenges proactively.
• Enhance quality and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Offer technical and program insights, listen to customer requirements, establish expectations, and fulfill commitments.
• Provide technical assistance encompassing calculations, scope development, implementation specifics, and operational effects.
• Aid in the development and validation of IPMVP Option C savings calculations and measurement and verification documentation.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of SEM delivery, energy information systems, and internal coaching resources and procedures.
• Collaborate with RI Energy Managers and Engineers to deliver targeted SEM experiences for current customer relationships.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field), business, or another relevant discipline.
• Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication abilities.
• Capability to work efficiently alongside experienced internal counterparts without overstepping their responsibilities.
• Dynamic speaking style with the ability to adjust communication style to suit different audiences.
• Strong writing, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical capabilities.
• Professional background in the energy efficiency sector.
• Comprehension of systems utilized in commercial and industrial settings.
• Ability to work independently and juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
• Skill in simplifying and conveying complex concepts in concise conversations and emails.
• Comfortable managing projects and workflows with varying degrees of ambiguity.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word and Excel.
• Willingness to travel up to about 20% of the time.
• Interest in sustainability and a commitment to making a significant environmental impact.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a thorough background and reference check.
• A pre-employment drug screening may be required if relevant to the position.
• Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), or Certified Practitioner in Energy Management Systems (CP EnMS).
• Preferred: Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or ISO 50001.
• Preferred: Direct experience in delivering SEM programs alongside an existing customer energy management function.
