Security GRC Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Configure, manage, and enhance data protection tools including DLP solutions, encryption technologies, and cloud security measures.

• Perform data discovery and classification to pinpoint high-risk assets.

• Investigate and respond to data breaches and incidents related to sensitive information.

• Oversee governance projects.

• Analyze alerts and logs to detect data-related security incidents.

• Offer recommendations for risk mitigation and control improvement.

• Collaborate with IT and legal teams during forensic investigations.

• Create and deliver focused training sessions on data governance and protection.

• Assist with security training applications and follow up with end users.

• Serve as a resource for employees seeking advice on managing sensitive data.

• Support the organization’s data protection and governance initiatives as well as compliance activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, IT, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity with an emphasis on data protection or governance.

• Expertise in data protection concepts and tools (e.g., DLP, encryption).

• Comprehensive understanding of security frameworks (e.g., PCI, GDPR, HITRUST, ISO 27001 & NIST 800-53, NIST 800-161).

• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to inspire and influence behavioral change at all organizational levels.

• Strong time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Innovative problem-solving capabilities and adaptability to emerging security challenges.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Purview or similar security tools.
