Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• In the role of Security Engineer, you will be responsible for safeguarding our product, users, and partners as we expand our rapidly growing AI dating platform.

• You will engage directly in areas such as application security, risk management & compliance, as well as security awareness, while also monitoring AI-specific threats as our product offerings develop.

• Conduct weekly code reviews to identify vulnerabilities prior to deployment.

• Manage, prioritize, and drive the resolution of security vulnerabilities throughout the technology stack.

• Oversee external security assessments and penetration tests, ensuring follow-up on identified issues.

• Maintain and enhance our risk register, accurately documenting all company services and prioritizing exposed elements.

• Assist with audit follow-ups and ensure GRC documentation is current.

• Inform the team of new threats, document findings, and disseminate security updates across the company.

• Execute phishing simulations and deliver security training (via Riot).

• Take charge of monitoring security channels and alerts, including weekend support, ensuring all issues are addressed.

• Configure and secure new employee devices (MDM), and manage access provisioning and deprovisioning.

• Stay vigilant regarding emerging attack techniques that target generative AI (prompt injection, jailbreaks, content filter bypass).

• Monitor security incidents and vulnerabilities reported by third-party AI providers that we depend on.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in application security (code review, vulnerability management).

• Experience in coordinating or performing penetration tests and security audits.

• Proficient in shipping code and familiar with Git/GitHub workflows.

• Scripting and automation capabilities.

• Bonus: knowledge of AI/LLM security concepts (prompt injection, jailbreaking, adversarial testing) — this is an evolving field where curiosity is valued over proven experience.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (fluent in English).

• Goal-oriented with a sense of ownership and commitment.

• Proactive mindset - we are moving rapidly and require individuals who can effectively balance execution, planning, and strategy.

• Humble and open to learning, receptive to feedback.
