Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Conduct weekly code assessments to identify vulnerabilities before deployment.

• Oversee the tracking, prioritization, and management of security vulnerabilities throughout the technology stack.

• Organize external security audits and penetration testing, ensuring thorough follow-up on findings.

• Maintain and enhance our risk register, documenting all company services and prioritizing exposure levels.

• Assist with audit follow-ups and ensure GRC documentation is current.

• Relay information about new threats to the team, document discoveries, and disseminate security updates across the organization.

• Execute phishing simulations and security training sessions (via Riot).

• Take charge of monitoring security channels and alerts, including weekend coverage, to ensure timely responses.

• Configure and secure new employee devices (MDM), managing access provisioning and deprovisioning processes.

• Stay informed about emerging attack techniques targeting generative AI, such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, and content filter bypassing.

• Monitor security incidents and vulnerabilities reported by third-party AI providers that we depend on.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in application security, including code reviews and vulnerability management.

• Experience in coordinating or conducting penetration tests and security audits.

• Proficient in shipping code and familiar with Git/GitHub workflows.

• Skills in scripting and automation.

• Bonus: Awareness of AI/LLM security concepts (prompt injection, jailbreaking, adversarial testing); curiosity is more valuable than extensive experience in this evolving field.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (fluent in English).

• Results-driven, with a sense of ownership and commitment.
