Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Take charge of safeguarding our product, users, and collaborators as we expand a rapidly growing AI dating platform.

• Engage directly in application security, risk & compliance, and security awareness while monitoring AI-specific threats as our product line develops.

• Conduct weekly code reviews to identify vulnerabilities prior to deployment.

• Manage, prioritize, and drive the remediation of security vulnerabilities across the entire stack.

• Coordinate external security audits and penetration tests, ensuring follow-up on identified issues.

• Maintain and enhance our risk register, mapping all company services and prioritizing exposure risks.

• Assist with audit follow-ups and keep Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) documentation current.

• Inform the team of new threats, document findings, and disseminate security updates across the company.

• Execute phishing simulations and deliver security training (via Riot).

• Oversee the monitoring of security channels and alerts, including weekend coverage, ensuring all issues are addressed.

• Configure and secure new employee devices (MDM), managing access provisioning and deprovisioning.

• Monitor emerging attack techniques aimed at generative AI (such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, and content filter bypass).

• Track security incidents and vulnerabilities reported by third-party AI providers we depend on.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in application security, including code review and vulnerability management.

• Proven experience in coordinating or conducting penetration tests and security audits.

• Proficient in shipping code and utilizing Git/GitHub workflows.

• Skills in scripting and automation.

• Bonus: Familiarity with AI/LLM security concepts (such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, and adversarial testing)—curiosity is valued over extensive experience in this emerging field.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with fluency in English.

• Goal-oriented, demonstrating ownership and commitment.

• Proactive mindset—able to balance execution, planning, and strategy in a fast-paced environment.

• Humble and open to learning and receiving feedback.
