Security Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist the Account Management and Business Development teams in acquiring new clients and enhancing existing partnerships in the US Central region.

• Propel the growth of health security subscription services and aid in the scoping of security consulting, training, and managed services.

• Serve as a subject matter expert for bids, tenders, and RFPs.

• Facilitate digital solution demonstrations and integrated medical-security solution presentations.

• Contribute to the design and innovation of security consulting and managed services solutions.

• Identify, define, and assist in the delivery of consulting opportunities across regional and global engagements.

• Engage in regional distribution strategy and business planning.

• Collaborate on go-to-market strategies, expansion, retention, and strategic account growth plans.

• Represent International SOS in professional forums and media within the US Central region.

• Support the creation of marketing and thought leadership materials for consulting security clients.

• Build professional networks and actively participate in association events.

• Offer insights on market trends, customer behavior, competitor activities, and security developments.

• Advocate for US Central clients through service localization and innovation.

• Provide support to the US Crisis Management Team as needed.

• Act as the lead security professional, advisor, and trusted partner for clients in the region.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with field and/or corporate security.

• Experience in planning, developing, and delivering security consulting solutions.

• Background in risk and crisis management.

• Strong grasp of security and risk mitigation principles.

• Proficient communication, report writing, and presentation abilities.

• Excellent influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Skills in relationship building.

• Background in security, including fields such as field security, corporate security, consulting, military, police, intelligence, NGO, disaster management, or relevant academia.

• Experience in supporting the Oil & Gas sector is preferred.

• Background in Executive Protection, Security Operations Center, Crisis Management, Travel Risk Management, Intelligence, or Security Planning is advantageous.

• Client management experience is required.

• Extensive experience with international travel.

• Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively across various cultures and ethnicities.

• Capacity to work under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate as part of a team.

• Adaptability to learn and follow new procedures and operating protocols.

• Capable of writing objectively and without political bias.

• Commitment to maintaining high professional standards.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in security, politics, international relations, law enforcement, criminal science, disaster management, or a related field.

• Proficiency in English with advanced writing skills.

• Willingness to work beyond normal hours to meet client and operational needs.

• Openness to regional and international travel, approximately 35%, as required by business needs.

• Availability for potential physical secondments to the Philadelphia Security Centre for up to one week each quarter.
