This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the development of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards, including S-1, 10-K, and 10-Q submissions.
• Oversee the close-to-reporting processes to ensure that the statements and associated schedules align with source documentation.
• Analyze and document discrepancies while ensuring that reporting procedures are both accurate and replicable.
• Assist with XBRL tagging and fulfill regulatory reporting obligations.
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Investor Relations to synchronize inputs, address issues, and enhance reporting processes and data flows.
• Prepare or review journal entries and reconciliations related to stock-based compensation, leases, and other intricate areas.
• Investigate complex transactions and assess their accounting implications for U.S. GAAP adherence.
• Manage external audit requests, prepare necessary documentation, and ensure the timely execution of audit procedures.
• Identify and implement enhancements to processes, systems, and AI-driven solutions that boost reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• A minimum of 7 years in accounting.
• At least 2 years of experience at a Big Four audit firm.
• Progressive experience in SEC reporting within a public company setting.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting standards, and internal control frameworks.
• Proficient in researching and resolving intricate technical accounting challenges.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and precision.
• Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proven track record in driving change, refining processes, implementing systems, and scaling operations.
• Comfortable functioning in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a growth-oriented mindset.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the capability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience in supporting an S-1 filing and transitioning to public company reporting.
• Preferred: knowledge of public readiness or S-1 preparation.
• Preferred: proactive enhancements utilizing AI.
