Seasonal Money Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide personalized coaching via phone and video on typical federal and state individual income tax issues.

• Clarify tax terminology, processes, concepts, and options using straightforward language.

• Assist members in comprehending tax documents and related materials.

• Guide members in identifying practical next steps and suitable resources.

• Aid members in preparing questions and gathering information prior to engaging with tax preparers or other professionals.

• Identify situations that require specialized tax, legal, investment, or other professional assistance and make appropriate referrals.

• Maintain accurate and timely records for each coaching session.

• Adhere to coaching protocols, quality standards, privacy regulations, and program guidelines.

• Ensure a professional and positive experience for members in a high-volume seasonal setting.

• Stay informed about federal tax regulations and significant tax-law updates affecting individuals.

• Consistently maintain reliable availability and punctuality throughout scheduled coaching hours during tax season.

• Navigate MSA's coaching and documentation systems effectively during sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional tax experience.

• Proven expertise in individual federal income tax matters.

• Experience in simplifying complex tax topics for individuals with limited tax knowledge.

• Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to educate while adhering to established coaching and professional boundaries.

• Proficient in coaching via both phone and video formats.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while fulfilling scheduling, documentation, productivity, and quality standards.

• Strong computer skills and capacity to work efficiently across multiple systems during sessions.

• Access to reliable high-speed internet and a professional remote work environment.

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential is preferred.
