Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Empower one or more ESCS delivery teams to operate efficiently using Scrum and broader agile methodologies.

• Facilitate planning and execution, eliminate obstacles, support transparent reporting, and mentor the team towards sustainable continuous improvement.

• Establish an effective delivery rhythm and safeguard team focus.

• Align team-level delivery with program priorities, dependencies, and release schedules.

• Utilize evidence and facilitation techniques to enhance flow, predictability, and quality.

• Lead sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement meetings.

• Maintain a prioritized, ready, and well-understood backlog in collaboration with business and technical leaders.

• Monitor impediments, dependencies, risks, and actions until they are resolved.

• Assist with program increments, release, and cross-team planning.

• Analyze delivery metrics to uncover trends and opportunities for enhancement.

• Mentor team members and stakeholders on agile principles, roles, and effective collaboration.

• Support distributed teams and ensure inclusive, outcome-driven ceremonies.

• Foster continuous improvement while ensuring delivery transparency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with Scrum and agile delivery methodologies.

• Skills in facilitation and team coaching.

• Proficiency in backlog refinement and sprint planning.

• Knowledge of dependency and impediment management.

• Familiarity with agile metrics, flow, and reporting.

• Experience in release and program increment planning.

• Expertise in retrospective design and continuous improvement.

• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.

• Conflict resolution and stakeholder communication skills.

• Commitment to value-driven delivery practices.

• Previous experience as a Scrum Master or in agile delivery with multidisciplinary technology teams.

• Experience supporting product owners, analysts, engineers, and testers throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Proven ability to work across virtual, distributed, or multi-location teams.

• Evidence of enhancing team delivery practices and overcoming impediments.

• Security Clearance (SC) required to commence work.

• Security Clearance (SC) mandatory for the role.
