
Scientific Services Veterinarian – Texas Territory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Strategically shape dietary recommendations through expert training, education, partnerships, and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with internal Royal Canin stakeholders to fulfill the annual objectives of the Therapeutic Business Unit.
• Partner with field sales teams to educate key recommenders, enhancing recommendations, market share, and sales growth.
• Foster relationships with specialty referral hospitals to boost nutrition category sales within local general practices.
• Develop relationships with regional medical leadership and engage in impactful strategic-account events.
• Establish and maintain a network of Key Opinion Leader advocates for Royal Canin and potential speakers.
• Assist veterinary operations, marketing, corporate communications, and scientific communication initiatives.
• Deliver Royal Canin nutrition education to veterinarians, technicians, and hospital staff.
• Contribute to the growth of veterinary business through collaboration and joint business planning with sales teams.
• Act as a trusted technical resource, offering expert support and guidance.
• Represent Royal Canin at veterinary conferences and events.
• Provide expert nutritional case consultations.
• Adjust territory and regional coverage as necessary.
• Travel 3–4 days per week, encompassing local and air travel, with one day allocated for remote home-office work.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (or VMD) with an active license in at least one state.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a veterinary practitioner, including internships, co-ops, and/or residency.
• Preference for experience in small or companion animal practices.
• Outstanding scientific communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and capability to travel extensively—up to 75% within the assigned territory.
• Ability to travel by airline, train, or other modes of transportation.
• Flexibility to travel during evenings and weekends.
• Competence in managing travel arrangements independently.
• Must be willing and able to travel to meet the roles and responsibilities.
• Ability to work effectively from home when not traveling.
