Scientific Services Veterinarian – Texas Territory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Strategically guide dietary recommendations through expert training, education, partnerships, and continuous support.

• Work in collaboration with internal stakeholders at Royal Canin to promote activities and initiatives for the Therapeutic Business Unit.

• Engage with Key Opinion Leaders and veterinary professionals to enhance the reputation of Royal Canin and boost brand recommendations.

• Partner with field sales teams to educate key recommenders and promote recommendations, market share, and sales growth.

• Build relationships with specialty referral hospitals to increase sales in the nutrition category.

• Enhance strategic accounts via regional medical leadership connections and impactful events.

• Create and maintain a network of Royal Canin advocate and speaker Key Opinion Leaders.

• Provide nutrition education on Royal Canin products to veterinarians, technicians, and hospital personnel.

• Facilitate veterinary business growth by collaborating with sales teams on joint business planning.

• Offer technical support and expert guidance.

• Represent Royal Canin at veterinary conferences and events.

• Conduct nutritional case consultations for veterinary partners and clients.

• Adjust territory and regional coverage as necessary.

• Support field-based teams through local and air travel.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (or VMD).

• Active veterinary license in at least one state.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a veterinary practitioner, including internships, co-ops, and/or residency.

• Preference for experience in small or companion animal practice.

• Outstanding scientific communication and presentation abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision.

• Willingness and capability to travel extensively—up to 75% within the assigned territory.

• Eligibility for a company vehicle.

• Flexibility to travel during nights and weekends.

• Ability to independently manage travel logistics.

• Must be willing and able to travel 50–75%, including during nights and weekends.

• Capability to work effectively from home when not traveling.
