Scientific Services Veterinarian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Shape dietary recommendations through expert training, education, collaboration, and continuous support.

• Partner with internal Royal Canin stakeholders to meet annual objectives for the Therapeutic Business Unit.

• Engage with Key Opinion Leaders and veterinary professionals to bolster Royal Canin’s reputation and enhance brand endorsements.

• Work alongside field sales teams to inform key recommenders and boost recommendations, market share, and sales growth.

• Cultivate relationships with specialty referral hospitals to increase sales in the nutrition category.

• Fortify strategic accounts by fostering regional medical leadership relationships and organizing high-impact events.

• Build and maintain a network of Royal Canin Key Opinion Leader advocates and potential speakers.

• Provide Royal Canin nutrition education to veterinarians, technicians, and hospital staff.

• Aid in veterinary business development through collaboration and joint business planning.

• Offer technical expertise, support, and guidance.

• Represent Royal Canin at veterinary conferences and events.

• Conduct nutritional case consultations.

• Adjust territory and regional coverage as needed.

• Support field-based teams through local and air travel.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine or VMD with an active license in at least one state.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a veterinary practitioner, including internships, co-ops, and/or residency.

• Preference for experience in small or companion animal practice.

• Outstanding scientific communication and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote.

• Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 75% within the assigned territory.

• Capacity to travel overnight for 3 or more nights each week.

• Flexibility to travel during evenings and weekends.

• Ability to independently manage travel arrangements.

• Must be willing and able to travel to fulfill role responsibilities.

• Must be capable of working effectively from home when not traveling.
