Scientific Account Manager – Stem Cell Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and implement plans for territory growth.

• Discover and nurture new business prospects within academic institutions, biotech firms, pharmaceutical companies, and cell therapy developers.

• Oversee the entire sales process from initial prospecting to closing deals and offering post-sale support.

• Establish enduring strategic partnerships with lab managers, research scientists, core facilities, and purchasing groups.

• Act as a trusted consultant on stem cell products and their associated research applications.

• Engage in scientific discussions concerning hematopoietic stem cell biology, gene editing and CRISPR workflows, regenerative medicine, cell therapy research, immune cell development, and cell expansion technologies.

• Suggest cell products, donor types, cell counts, and ancillary reagents tailored to customer research goals.

• Provide technical presentations, webinars, and seminars for scientific audiences.

• Keep track of advancements in stem cell biology, cell therapy, and gene editing markets.

• Stay informed about competitor products and industry trends.

• Design and present ViaCord’s service presentations to specific audiences to meet enrollment objectives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field.

• Over 5 years of experience in life sciences sales, technical support, research, or field application.

• Master’s degree or PhD in a life sciences field (preferred).

• Practical laboratory experience (preferred).

• Background in selling primary cells, stem cell products, cell culture reagents, genomics solutions, flow cytometry products, and tools for cell therapy research (preferred).

• Experience in roles such as field application scientist, product specialist, or in translational research (preferred).

• Proven experience in discussing research workflows and experimental design with scientists (preferred).

• Experience in Women’s Healthcare, Genetics, Pediatrics, Nursing, or Labor & Delivery (preferred).

• Strong analytical skills and customer service orientation.

• Proven sales success history.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in crafting a successful, results-driven territory plan.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to develop and deliver ViaCord’s service presentations to achieve enrollment targets.

• Willingness to travel 5–10% of the time.
