Science Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish daily connections through caring and proactive outreach to keep students motivated and engaged.

• Guide learners through the designated curriculum, reinforcing concepts and assisting them in mastering the material.

• Monitor student engagement and academic progress; identify students who are struggling or disengaged and provide personalized interventions.

• Provide timely grading and constructive feedback that enhances learning, celebrates growth, and fosters self-efficacy.

• Communicate with students, families, and colleagues through phone, text, chat, Zoom, email, and internal systems.

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and the interventions provided.

• Collaborate with peers and leaders to promote student success.

• Participate in professional development, meetings, and training sessions.

• Teach within the assigned curriculum, adhering to pacing and utilizing provided resources.

• Lead live sessions as needed.

• Assist in proctoring during testing periods, which may require occasional travel.

• Carry out other duties as necessary to further the mission.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field (required).

• Teacher certification along with an approved teacher preparation program (required).

• Capability to obtain certifications in Arizona, Colorado, Washington, and other states as may be assigned (required).

• Ability to successfully pass required background checks (required).

• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally.

• Capacity to build rapport, gain commitment, and explain concepts using diverse methods.

• Proven content knowledge and previous educational success with students from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong organizational skills, time management, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a remote team.

• Proficiency in Mac OS, Google Workspace, learning management systems, and task management tools like Asana.

• Willingness and ability to travel to designated testing locations for proctoring.

• Reliable high-speed internet and a private, professional, distraction-free remote workspace.

• 3+ years of teaching experience (preferred).

• 2+ years of online teaching experience (preferred).
