School Social Worker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Deliver individualized social work services tailored to each student's IEP.

• Assist around 11 students in grades K–6 within a Pre-K–6 educational environment.

• Aid students in developing coping mechanisms, social skills, peer relationships, problem-solving abilities, and executive functioning capabilities.

• Conduct 30-minute individual sessions, scheduled once or twice weekly based on student requirements.

• Arrange consultation periods with teachers and school personnel.

• Work collaboratively with families, educators, IEP teams, and related service providers.

• Complete necessary documentation, including progress notes and service logs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current Clinical Social Worker license (LCSW).

• Valid Maine license or certification for practicing school social work.

• At least one year of full-time, on-site experience in school social work, excluding internships.

• Background in providing counseling, social-emotional support, and behavioral interventions within a school environment.

• Experience in collaborating with IEP teams and supporting quantifiable student objectives.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities.
