This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee the scheduling of patient activities for appointments, procedures, and examinations across hospitals, physician practices, outpatient departments, modalities, and facilities.
• Enhance communication among staff, referral sources, and physician offices concerning scheduling issues and concerns.
• Gather clinical information, secure insurance details, and confirm patient demographics.
• Arrange physician appointments and diagnostic testing procedures.
• Inform patients, families, and physician offices about protocols, procedures, insurance, referrals, and testing criteria.
• Supervise practice protocols and departmental procedures while suggesting enhancements.
• Utilize scheduling software and patient-specific applications to improve patient access.
• Act as a resource for staff, physicians, and referring offices.
• Minimize errors, rework, and defects through meticulous attention to detail.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• A minimum of 6 months of experience in a medical office, call center, or customer service role, or the completion of an Associate's Degree program or higher in place of work experience.
• Capability to uphold strict confidentiality.
• Competence to operate in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Detail-oriented with precise electronic data entry skills.
• Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with EMR and scheduling systems such as EPIC and PHS is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
