This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Schedule appointments with external network specialists for consultations and procedures requested by PACE Primary Care Physicians.

• Prioritize appointment scheduling based on Expected By Date and clinical urgency.

• Collaborate with clinical teams to manage participant flow and ensure timely access to care.

• Accurately document appointment data and updates in Epic EMR.

• Act as a liaison between participants, caregivers, providers, and external specialist offices.

• Inform participants and families about appointment details.

• Coordinate complex medical appointments, referrals, and specialty care services.

• Obtain and monitor consultation notes and diagnostic testing results.

• Oversee clinic-based scheduling workflows and participant care coordination.

• Provide front-office support, including participant check-in and appointment management.

• Prepare and manage authorizations for specialty referrals and services.

• Document scheduling activities and participant interactions in the EMR.

• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team, Transportation Department, Adult Day Health Center, and clinic staff.

• Participate in IDT meetings as necessary.

• Coordinate schedule changes, transportation adjustments, medically necessary escorts, and coverage requirements.

• Support internal audits, quality reviews, and process improvement initiatives.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Scheduling Manager.


⛳️ Requirements

• 1+ years of administrative, clerical, and medical administrative experience, including filing, record keeping, data entry, and customer service.

• 1+ years of scheduling experience.

• Recent medical scheduling experience within the last 1–2 years of employment.

• 3–5 years of customer service experience.

• Experience working remotely.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Experience with EMR systems.

• Ability to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.

• Preferred: clinic health care experience in a geriatrics setting.

• Preferred: experience as a Nursing Assistant in home care, long-term care, daycare, or group home.

• Preferred: experience using Epic EMR.
